Verizon is currently running a 50% off deal for the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL that isn’t horrible depending on your situation.

It’s pretty rare these days to see the Pixel 2, and the Pixel 2 XL especially, in the news for anything other than the newest hardware issue cropping up. But this is one of those times, so brace yourself – it’s a deal we’re talking about.

Now keep in mind that the more current your trade, the more value it has and the more money you will save. For example, an Apple iPhone 7 or Apple iPhone 6s will cut the price of the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL in half.

Trade in the Apple iPhone 6 and you’ll get 35% off the price of the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. And you can get 25% off the two models by trading in an Apple iPhone SE. To grab the biggest price cut you will need to part with a top of the line device released within the past two years or so, as you can see from the image below.

That said, even older and lower-end smartphones could net you at least a 25% discount, perhaps even 35%. The full list is above.

Alright, so to get the full 50% off, you understand that you need to trade-in an eligible phone. Alongside that portion of the deal, Verizon will make you sign a 2-year device payment plan (a 2-year contract) for whichever Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL you buy. They’ll then apply a credit to your bill, spread out over 24 months for 50% of the phone you chose.

So if you buy the Pixel 2 XL with 128GB storage at $949.99 and trade-in a Galaxy S7, Verizon will spread out a $474.99 credit over 24 months. In other words, they aren’t just going to slap a $475 credit to your bill in a month, they’ll instead slowly reimburse you.

Still, if that’s no issue for you and you don’t mind the Pixel 2’s bezels or the Pixel 2 XL’s problems, head on over to Verizon to grab either one by using the Source links below. It’s also looking like Penguin 2 XL is fully stocked and ready to ship.
