Google Is Rolling Out A New ‘Getting Around’ Setting In Assistant

getting around preferences

Google is rolling out a new setting in Assistant. It’s got the very casual name “Getting around.” With “Getting around” options, you can tell Assistant how you commute to work and how you get around generally.

You can have different settings for your commute and general directions. After setting that, you can ask for directions via Assistant and it will provide your preferred type. The option include walking, public transit, biking, and driving.

“Getting around” still rolling out, so many devices don’t have it yet. You can check by opening Google Assistant and going to Menu button > Settings > Preferences.
