With all the negativity surrounding the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, it’s sometimes been a little easy to forget that Google’s latest flagship smartphones have a lot going for them. Now, it seems that Google might have another solution to Pixel 2 problems on its way, courtesy of the Google Assistant.
Assistant on the Google Pixel 2 and Google 2 XL is more powerful than ever before, and it can help you do a bunch of important things with your phone. There is no official documentation about this, may be Google is still testing this feature out.
According to the report published on Android Police, It appears that Google Pixel 2 phones running the Android 8.1 Oreo developer preview can take advantage of a dedicated troubleshooting wizard via the Google Assistant. By asking a specific question like “What is draining my battery?” the Google Assistant can automatically help identify problems with your device.
Assistant on the Pixel 2 and 2 XL was able to run a battery health check and also look for any apps that might be causing drainage issues.
The Assistant will run through a number of possible solutions to your problem with you, before referring you to a member of Google’s customer service team should it fail to resolve it.
Even so, it’s really impressive that it can do any kind of troubleshooting at all. It could prove really useful.
