HTC has already sent invitations to the possible HTC U11 Plus launch on November 2nd. Today, the device is likely to appear on Geekbench. The first score of the Snapdragon 835 powered flagship is not particularly high, but informative.
The new HTC flagship HTC 2Q4D1 appears on Geekbench today. This is most likely the model name of the HTC U11 Plus that we expect on November 2nd . There is no other MSM8898 (Snapdragon835) powered smartphone announced from Taiwan manufacturer.
The score recorded by the unnamed HTC smartphone falls within expectations for a Snapdragon 835 device and is around the same as that of the U11. What stands out the most is the 4GB of RAM – the HTC U11 comes with 4GB as standard with a 6GB model being sold in certain markets like the US. Perhaps the Plus will similarly have two different versions when it comes to RAM. The flagship is powered by the latest operating system, Android 8 Oreo.
And this seems to fall pretty neatly in line with what we’ve previously heard about the HTC U11 Plus — essentially, it’s going to be the U11 but stuffed in a taller, bezel-less form factor.
In fact, these specs perfectly match the ones we heard a couple of weeks back. This can be read one of two ways: either the rumors were all true, or someone faked the two listings based on said information.
