Huawei released a new P20 promo meant to tease the imaging capabilities of its upcoming flagship lineup, hints at triple cameras

Huawei released a new P20 promo meant to tease the imaging capabilities of its upcoming Android flagship lineup, with the company’s latest video also mocking DSLR cameras in the process of doing so.

The clip that can be seen below suggests the P20 series will be able to produce results comparable to those delivered by a DSLR backed by multiple umbrellas and a standalone flash, with the video being part of the company’s “see mooore” campaign.

The smartphone used in the promo has been masked almost entirely and only reveals the presence of a circular fingerprint reader mounted on its rear panel.

The chances that Huawei actually manages to deliver a phone that can rival contemporary DSLRs even without any studio lighting equipment are essentially non-existent.

The latest teaser from the Chinese tech giant once again hints at a triple-camera setup that at least one member of the P20 lineup is expected to feature.

The second video seen below is strongly indicative of such a system, suggesting the third lens of the upcoming Android flagship will be of the telephoto variety.

The P20 family is expected to consist of the P20 Lite, P20, P20 Pro, and the Porsche Design P20, with all four being scheduled for an official announcement on March 27.
