HMD Global seems to have the Nokia 10 in development. This high-end smartphone would have a completely new camera system. There is not much hard evidence yet, but there are several small indications.
Earlier, a list emerged with all smartphones that would be provided in 2018 with the Snapdragon 845 processor. This new processor is expected in the Galaxy S9 , but also the Nokia 10 was on that list. The powerful processor is capable of controlling up to seven different cameras.
A patent surfaced with sketches (below) of a Nokia smartphone with a rotating camera. By turning the camera you can zoom in and out and also focus. The patent speaks of a Zeiss lens, which is not so surprising given the Nokia 7 and Nokia 8 also have a Zeiss lens.
According to the source from China, that is exactly what HMD Global seems to be planning. Because not much later it was claimed that the device would have a revolutionary camera with no less than five lenses and a LED flash in the middle.
It is still completely unknown at this moment whether we will encounter this camera in the Nokia 9 or 10. But it is likely that HMD Global intends to equip its flagship device with a revolutionary camera. The display size of the Nokia 10 is still unknown, but the phone is expected to have a modern design with narrow edges, creating an 18: 9 aspect ratio. There are also rumors that the device gets a 3D glass design, both on the front and back.
The Nokia 9 is expected at the MWC 2018 this month. For the Nokia 10 we will have to wait a little longer. This premium smartphone would be presented around IFA 2018, this fair takes place from August 31 to September 5, 2018 in Berlin, Germany.
