OnePlus has started rolling out Android 8.0 Oreo-based OxygenOS 5.0.1 update to the OnePlus 5. The OxygenOS 5.0 build had some sort of a bug because of which the company decided to stop rolling it out, and work on a fix in form of the OxygenOS 5.0.1.
This is a staged roll out, so it will take some time to get out to everyone. Most of the changelog is the same, but the company added a few things to this new version:
- Bug fixes for third party camera application
- Fixed network issues for European operators
For those of you who do not know, this is not the first Android 8.0 Oreo-based OxygenOS build that the company pushed out to the OnePlus 5, the company started sending the OxygenOS 5.0 build to the OnePlus 5 at the end of last month.
We still do not know why exactly did OnePlus stopped distributing OxygenOS 5.0, as the company did not elaborate on its statement, but it seems like everything has been fixed now, and you can update your phone to OxygenOS 5.0.1.
