The OnePlus has stopped the OTA rollout of the OxygenOS 5.0 update for the OnePlus 5. Currently it is unclear when exactly the update stopped, but it clear that the rolling out was stopped due to “a bug on Oxygen 5.0.”
The company is not going to roll out Oxygen OS 5.0 and instead will move to release an OTA update which will push the system up to OxygenOS 5.0.1.
This is identical process to the updating of the OnePlus 3 and 3T to Android Oreo. The devices also originally started receiving OxygenOS 5.0 before having the update pulled, reportedly also due to a bug.
OnePlus has not provided specifics on when the new update will start to make its way out.
