YouTuber Concept Creator has released yet another concept design, this time around we’re looking at the OnePlus 5T. It might actually arrive in the near future, most rumors are claiming it will land next month, though nothing has been confirmed by the company just yet.
According to rumors, the phone to sport a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, and very thin bezels on its front side, let’s see how this concept design compares to rumors and leaks, shall we.
If you take a look at the video which is embedded down below, you will notice that the back side of this concept OnePlus 5T handset looks almost identical to the OnePlus 5’s back, with one notable difference, a fingerprint scanner which is placed above the OnePlus branding, interestingly enough.
A protruding dual camera setup is still here, and the same can be said for the phone’s LED flash, they even seem to be in the same place. The power / lock key is placed on the right-hand side of the device, while you will find the phone’s volume rocker button on the left, along with the alert slider.
Once we flip the phone around and turn on its display, it’s immediately noticeable how thin its bezels are, considerably thinner than bezels on the OnePlus 5. The Type-C USB port is placed on the bottom of the device, and that’s where you+ll find this handset’s loudspeaker and a 3.5mm headphone jack as well.
OnePlus 5T Specifications
The listing of OnePlus 5T on Chinese online store reveals that it has a 6-inch Optic AMOLED display that is tucked under 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass. It carries support for a FHD+ resolution of 1,080 x 2,160 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9.
The smartphone is driven by Snapdragon 835 chipset. It comes in 6 GB and 8 GB RAM LPDDR4X options and it two storage models like 64 GB and 128 GB UFS 2.1 storage. It includes a 3,450mAh battery that is equipped with 5V/4A Dash Charging.
The dual camera present on the rear panel includes a 20-megapixel f/1.7 aperture Sony IMX398 sensor and 16-megapixel f/2.6 aperture Sony IMX350. It has a selfie snapper of 16-megapixel f/1.6 aperture Sony IMX371 sensor.
It is preloaded with Android Nougat that is customized with OxygenOS and the listing suggests that it will be receiving Android Oreo.
The above specifications reveal that the chipset, RAM, storage, dual rear cameras and selfie camera of OnePlus 5T are same as that of OnePlus 5. However, the major change on the OnePlus 5T is the inclusion of a full screen display and a bigger battery.
Since it features a larger display, it measures 157 x 75.4 x 7.25mm and weighs 164 grams. On the other hand, the dimensions of OnePlus 5 are 154.2 x 74.1 x 7.3mm and its weight is 153 grams.
According to the rumors 64 GB and 128 GB models of OnePlus 5 are respectively priced at $479 and $539. Well, both the models have gone out of stock on the official OnePlus store. The 64 GB OnePlus 5T has a pricing of $549 and the 128 GB variant is listed with a price tag of $649 on one Chinese online store.
