OnePlus Released Android 8.1 Oreo-Based OxygenOS Open Beta 4 For OnePlus 5T & Beta 6 For OnePlus 5

The OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T are now receiving a new OxygenOS Open Beta update with some new features, improvements and bug fixes. The OnePlus 5 gets OxygenOS Open Beta build 6 and the OnePlus 5T gets build Open Beta build 4.

The Open Beta is based on Android 8.1 Oreo and those using a previous beta will get the update as an OTA.

    • answer an incoming call by raising the phone


  • General bug fixes and improvements
  • Added more clock styles for ambient display
  • Optimized full-screen gesture support (Only for OnePlus 5T)
  • Updated Android security patch to 2018-02

Gaming mode

  • Added new optimizations in gaming mode for immersive gaming experience including power saving and pausing adaptive brightness

OnePlus Switch

  • Added support to migrate application data, allowing you to switch between devices seamlessly

Note: Please keep in mind that this is beta software. These builds are sometimes not as stable as our official OTAs generally are.
