Last month, a Super moderator on the MIUI forum said, the company dropped the “Note” brand for its budget phones and the Redmi 5 Plus is going to remain the company’s only large-screened affordable phone. But the forum post was moderator’s opinion, and was not based on any info provided by the Xiaomi.
Now, according to a new rumor from China, the Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 5 is on its way, and it will be announced in the second quarter of this year.
The rumored Redmi Note 5 will feature Snapdragon 632, a 5.99-inch display, 4GB RAM, and 32GB/64GB storage. The device is also expected to ship with a dual camera setup on the back, and two 12MP front cameras. The device will cost 1,599 Yuan ($246).
