Samsung has started pushing a new update to its Galaxy A5 (2017) smartphone. It’s a security update that brings the January security patch, including 91 Google fixes for the Android OS itself, as well 13 fixes for the Samsung Experience OS.
The update is currently hitting units in the Netherlands, Arriving as firmware version A520FXXU4BRA8 and weighing in at 22MB. Other regions will also be getting it sooner than later.
It’s worth mentioning that none of the South Korean company’s flagship devices have received the January security patch yet.
You can check if the update is available for your phone by going into the Settings app, then Download updates manually option in the Software update menu.
