According to the source, the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus will become available for pre-orders on March 1, three days after making its premiere official appearance at this year’s iteration of the MWC in Barcelona, Spain.
A February 26th announcement is in line with Samsung’s own confirmation that the Galaxy S9 series is planned for an MWC 2018 launch, with that particular date marking the start of the world’s largest annual mobile industry trade show.
In 2017, the Galaxy S8 arrived a month later than usual, but this time the Samsung is getting back to its 2016 release frames.
According to a C-level executive at a major casemaker, the go-to-market schedule for Galaxy S9 / S9+ is as follows:
Launch – 2/26
Pre-orders – 3/1
Ships/releases – 3/16
