Sony Xperia’s Twitter account released a short teaser video that hints at the upcoming handsets and reaffirms their announcement date. Based on the video that can be seen below, Sony might be preparing a device with a curved back or sides, doing away with the boxy design its flagships have sported for a years now.
Sony has scheduled an event for February 26 at the MWC 2018 with the intention of announcing its latest Android flagships. At the event, Sony is expected to announce three smartphones – Xperia XZ2, Xperia XZ2 Pro, and the Xperia XZ2 Compact – meant to succeed its Xperia XZ1 series from 2017.
A couple of weeks back, Sony filed a dismissal request for one of its grants with the FCC to incorporate some design changes into one of its upcoming devices.
Sony is expected to drop its OmniBalance design that has been around for years now and replace it with some more contemporary features like an 18:9 display with thinner bezels and two rear cameras.
