The Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is getting a new software update. A new software update which seems to bring the latest Google security patches, adds Calling Plus, and includes RSSI updates.
With its latest update, the Sprint Galaxy Note 8 has joined the Calling PLUS ranks, following the LG G6 and Galaxy S8/S8+. Also included are October security patches and a couple of other small fixes/upgrades.
The current update is identified by the build number “N950USQU2BQJB” and unsurprisingly, Sprint is distributing the new software in a gradual manner. The entire package weighs up to 383MB. It began rolling out on November 15th.
The flagship at hand is also expected to make the jump to Android 8.0 Oreo in the near future, though probably not before the end of the year. In any case, should you own an Galaxy Note 8, you can see if the update is available by going into the Settings » About phone menu and selecting the Download updates manually option.
